Nightmare on 13th
Nightmare on 13th is located on 1300 South in downtown Salt Lake City and features a gothic castle that stands out in the cityscape. Inside its walls lies several fear-inducing attractions: chainsaws, snakes, electrocution, claustrophobic tunnels and more!
American Haunts recently recognized this attraction as one of the top three haunted houses in America and awarded them third place as part of their mission of professional scares and safety promotion.
The main attraction features a haunted manor overrun with demons who threaten your soul, while you will visit the Institute of Terror, including its common room, operating room, dormitories and isolation chambers. There is no minimum age requirement but parents should exercise discretion when bringing young children. Due to strobe lights and tesla coils present within this attraction it may not be suitable for visitors with pacemakers.
Asylum 49
Asylum 49 is an incredible haunted house located in Tooele, Utah. Formerly an old hospital, this attraction is now run as an attraction and truly haunted by real ghosts – such as a little girl that helps scare guests, an evil spirit named Jeremy that likes to burn people alive, and a woman that likes to tear bed sheets off beds!
The haunted house provides guests with various experiences, from no contact, light contact, full contact and extreme (light waterboarding and shock therapy). Visitors wear wristbands to inform actors which type of experience they prefer.

Some visitors have reported being attacked by what appeared to be an enormous snakelike creature while others encountered the spirit of a little girl dressed in 19th-century attire. Additionally, this attraction offers a haunted cottage which is particularly popular with children.
Moon Lake in Utah is another site rumoured to be haunted. A popular camping spot, Moon Lake provides visitors with a spooky camping experience. According to legend, Moon Lake was haunted by the spirit of a young girl who drowned there and it is said she still haunts the area, appearing wet with skin tinged blue and her clothes wetted through with water.
