Texas boasts vast and varied landscapes that will amaze. However, it also houses some haunted places sure to give you goosebumps!

Visitors and employees have reported experiencing sudden cold chills, inexplicable odors, footsteps moving without an obvious source, lights turning on and off at random, and lights suddenly switching on or off by themselves.

The Alamo

The Alamo is more than just an educational landmark; it’s also an unnerving landmark. After thousands of men were killed at this location during its battle in 1836, their disembodied spirits remain present today and might just be feeling slightly annoyed!

Park Rangers and security guards have reported hearing footsteps and moaning noises within the Alamo building, as well as witnessing a small blonde-haired boy seen near its gift shop.

There have been reports of strange, humanoid shadows appearing on the walls. Newspaper articles frequently published articles detailing ghostly appearances and bizarre noises at the Alamo.

Menger Hotel

Texas’ long history of ghostly encounters makes it inevitable that it has its fair share of ghostly places. From ghostly figures to mysterious footsteps disappearing into thin air, Texas boasts some of the scariest locations in America.

San Antonio’s Menger Hotel is rumored to be haunted by ghostly visitors, with guests reporting hearing footsteps, seeing shadows and being scratched by unseen entities. According to legend, one such ghost may be Sallie White – murdered by her husband but still seen folding laundry or transporting linens around.

Glenwood Cemetery in Houston is another place known to be haunted. According to reports, spirits of those buried there still roam freely here and can sometimes be seen appearing as smoking men, floating white women and ghostly children with bouncing balls – while there have also been sightings of unexplainable orbs floating through the cemetery at night! A must visit for anyone searching for some paranormal excitement in Texas!

Alamo Heights Elementary School

Hauntings have long been reported in cities such as New Orleans and Savannah, while Salem Massachusetts and Chicago also boast paranormal activity histories. San Antonio stands out as a city known to experience paranormal activity – not surprising for one with over 300 years of history like itself! Ghostly accounts abound throughout its streets.

Many ghostly happenings in San Antonio may be linked to its location along a river. This may act as an energy-source and allow spirits to remain present in the area.

King Williams District in Texas is widely believed to be one of the most haunted areas, with numerous reports of paranormal activity such as flickering lights, TVs turning themselves off and on by themselves, doors opening and closing by themselves, unexplained footsteps, and strange noises being observed here.

The Hill House

Mineral Wells’ Haunted Place has an unsavory history. Once serving as both a brothel and bootlegging operation, this haunted location now houses multiple ghosts who haunt its premises – guests and employees have reported hearing banging noises, scratching and other paranormal activities in this place.

Staff at The Tavern claim a ghost named Emily haunts their building. Emily worked at an illegal brothel and is said to wander upstairs and knock items off shelves.

Students attending the University of North Texas have reported feeling disquieted by ghostly presences who linger on campus, such as Crumley Hall’s haunted screamer, Maple Hall’s shirtless spirit, Bruce Hall poltergeists and even an unknown woman in red reportedly roaming Capitol dome and other sounds of cannon fire and banging on walls in officers’ quarters.
