King’s Chapel Burying Ground in Boston
As one of the main stops on the Freedom Trail, this historic cemetery draws ghost hunters and history enthusiasts alike. Visitors have often reported feeling cold chills, hearing disembodied voices and even being touched or pushed by entities during their visits here.
Many notable people are interred here, including John Winthrop (the colony’s inaugural governor); Mary Chilton, who became the first woman to step off of the Mayflower; Paul Revere’s midnight companion William Dawes and Ralph Waldo Emerson’s father Ralph Waldo Emerson; many more people who lived through slavery are also buried here.
King’s Chapel Burying Ground can be found near Tremont Street and School Street and was established alongside its namesake church in 1754. As one of Boston’s first cemeteries, it provided burial services until Copp’s Hill Burying Ground and Granary Burying Ground came into use in 1660.

Visitors may visit during daytime hours or take advantage of special candlelit tours at nighttime for maximum terror!
Amityville Horror House in Long Island, New York was the site of an infamous mass murder which inspired books and movies about it. Visitors have reported green slime seeping out of walls, flies swarming around them and demonic voices heard inside.
The Vanderbilt Mansion in Chicago
Nostalgia Providence reports that an unknown ghostly lady can be found lurking around this lavish home built for America’s richest family, particularly within its servants’ quarters. She may still linger there today.

Furthermore, this California Historical Landmark and museum offers guided or self-guided daytime tours.
Tragic events that befell a family that once called this home their own certainly contributed to its haunted status. Once serving as a general store, county courthouse, public theater and Whaley family home – this two-story Greek revival residence now bears haunted signs.
Whaley House once served as both a hanging ground and cemetery, which may account for its haunted history even prior to Thomas Whaley acquiring it as it is thought to be where James “Yankee Jim” Robinson (a thief known for stealing boats years prior to its construction) rests.
