1. Dr. Best House & Medical Museum
Virginia boasts many historic landmarks. However, its rich history also comes with a sinister undertone; just take one step in any direction and you could be standing on hallowed ground of either Civil War battles or American Revolution battlefields!
Middleburgh’s Dr. Best House & Medical Museum is an early twentieth century house which is still preserved today, housing paranormal activity including doors slamming shut, piano playing on its own and feeling as though you are being patted gently by an invisible cat! 2. The Rapids Theatre
On Main Street in Niagara Falls is this theatre, constructed in 1921. Initially used as a movie theatre and vaudeville stage, since then the venue has hosted concerts by The Band Perry, City and Colour, Snoop Dogg, Morrissey and Thirty Seconds to Mars among many others.
The Rapids has also been featured on an episode of SyFy’s Ghost Hunters, where guests have reported hearing mysterious whistling, hearing loud footsteps and sensing shadowy figures watching them from a distance.

3. The Dakota
The Dakota is an iconic apartment block situated in Upper West Manhattan that has seen some notable residents, such as Boris Karloff, Judy Garland and Lauren Bacall, along with late actor Rudolph Nureyev (deceased). Additionally, Roman Polanski used this location for his 1968 movie Rosemary’s Baby which features it prominently as its backdrop.

Edward Rowe Snow first documented The Lady in Black when he assembled various local legends to tell its tale and attract visitors to Fort Dupont – saving it from becoming landfill space. His aim was to draw more people in and prevent its eventual demise as landfill space.
