According to legend, this spot is haunted by the ghost of a young bride killed brutally on her wedding night and dumped into nearby mangroves; her haunted spirit is said to cause drivers on this road great distress and contribute to numerous accidents.

4. Bombay High Court

One of India’s best-known ghost tales comes from Bombay High Court, where it is said that a lawyer’s ghost haunts the courtroom. This ghost is said to terrorise murder convicts enough for them to confess their crimes, leading them to confess their deeds in order to escape punishment.

Unother haunted spot is the house of a yoga guru, where several witnesses claim to have seen a malevolent spirit roaming about. Furthermore, many believe this spirit is after those opposed to yoga.

Lambi Dehar Mines is an abandoned coal mine which has since been transformed into an eerie haunted site, said to be haunted by a ghost who haunts it as revenge against an employee murdered here – with this ghost purportedly speaking both English and Urdu!

The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai has long been known to be haunted, supposedly haunted by the ghost of one of their former guests who is said to haunt the grounds at night and cause unease among guests and staff alike. They have reported hearing unusual noises and experiencing uneasiness within its premises.

Mahim’s D’Souza Chawl is another haunted spot popularly associated with ghostly activity. There, it is thought that a woman dressed in white appears at night requesting assistance and asking passersby for directions; she is reported harmless and does not bother anyone.

Poonam Chambers in Worli is another site with strong paranormal energies, said to be haunted by spirits of those who committed suicide there, with many witnessing a young boy’s ghost within its walls.
