Cassadaga, often referred to as the “Psychic Center of the World,” boasts a terrifying lighthouse and an eerie cemetery where beer cans placed in Devil’s Chair supposedly vanish within 24 hours of placement.
Florida House Inn
Florida attracts over 120 million tourists each year, and while they may come for the beaches, theme parks, and attractions; few might realize that Florida also boasts many haunted places that may surprise them.
The Seven Sisters Inn in Ocala markets itself as Florida’s most haunted bed & breakfast hotel, actively looking out for paranormal activity. Its longstanding tenants include ghostly figures of a young woman and her two playful children as well as an extremely flirtatious male spirit – as well as its resident ghost dog Finn!
Florida House Inn guests often report strange experiences such as cold spots, mysterious sounds and knocking. The fourth floor seems particularly active. Enriquetta Marrero reportedly haunts this historic mansion; her wife Francisco Marrero has been said to appear here and haunt rooms 23 and 18. Enriquetta can often be found brushing her hair while brushing the mirror, or swinging chandeliers when upset about guests!
The Tampa Theatre is one of Florida’s most haunted spots, having once served as a movie theater and being haunted by Foster “Fink” Finley – its former projectionist who died while performing. Furthermore, its basement contains a cistern where one boy accidentally drowned trying to hide from their manager.
Coombs House Inn
Coombs House Inn is conveniently situated in the city center and makes for an ideal lodging option for travelers wanting quick access to everything Apalachicola has to offer. The Coombs House Inn was constructed in 1905 as a private home, but in 1911 a fire caused significant damage. Reluctantly moving into a hotel while it was repaired led Mr and Mrs Coombs to die shortly afterwards due to heartbreak; both are interred at Chestnut Street Cemetery nearby.
Hotel guests have reported experiencing unexplained activity at this hotel, such as lights turning on and off randomly, elevators taking them to incorrect floors, and scrawled messages on mirrors. Some also have reported hearing gunshots on Friday nights which has led some to speculate that ghosts from couples murdered here might still haunt it.

Coral Gables’ grand resort and one of Florida’s fanciest hotel are both known as haunted. Once home to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Al “Scarface” Capone as well as Johnny “Tarzan” Weissmuller working as a swim instructor prior to becoming famous. Now said to be haunted with mysterious kids running down hallways or radios turning on by themselves in Ponce de Leon Suite – both former residents claimed they encountered paranormal activity here!
