Dead Man’s Farm

Dead Man’s Farm, situated in Lenior City, is an intense haunted house. According to legend, its former owners were the Bludgeon family – known for practicing witchcraft and torturing slaves and livestock before spreading a supernatural disease among their ghosts and cannibal associates. Brave civilians venturing inside encounter an array of strange characters seemingly driven mad by disease – making for an intense haunted experience!

At its heart is an eerie setting; using scents from cookies in the kitchen to rotting corpses in the slaughterhouse), sound effects, and carefully placed actors to create a sense of constant fear for those who enter. This year marks its move to a new property with many new scares; tickets include both haunted house and corn maze attractions with combo tickets also being available if desired.

The 13th Realm

Russ McKamey is best known as the creator of Summertown Haunted House – often considered the scariest haunted house on Earth. To enter, several daunting preconditions must be met, including signing a 40 page waiver agreement and receiving clearance from your physician that you are physically and mentally fit for participation.

One ticket allows access to the 13th Realm, featuring three separate attractions designed to terrify and disturb visitors: Slotch Sanitarium, Voodoo Village and The Yard: Carnival Scrapyard.

Near Knoxville, this outdoor haunted attraction is the largest haunted attraction in Tennessee. Beginning late September and running every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening during October until Halloween Eve – guests can experience various horror-themed attractions including haunted barn, historic home tour, free fall challenge as well as haunted cemetery on this property.

The Bell Witch Cave & Cabin

One of the scariest haunted houses in Tennessee is Bell Witch Cave and Cabin near Adams. Local legend has it that Kate, an evil spirit who haunts this area and holds a grudge against John Bell is haunting this cabin and surrounding farmland. Over time, people began seeing animals roaming about freely as well as hearing strange noises on the farmland; gradually these paranormal encounters grew worse with each passing year.

This cave is a karst cave formed of dissolving rocks such as limestone and gypsum, creating an underground system with tunnels stretching about 500 feet long. Although small in size, its inhabitants still find it to be scary enough for visitors.

People should avoid taking anything out of a cave as doing so could result in an evil spirit turning them into zombies!

Oakland’s Mansion

Ghosts of this historic house are said to haunt its property. Visitors who venture inside report hearing strange sounds such as crying or footsteps and claim seeing apparitions.

This home on the Oaklanside property once served as a plantation active during the 1800’s, when both Union and Confederate soldiers resided here. Great-granddaughters of its original owners told The Oaklanside that ghostly figures still haunt this place today.

James Manning, Executive Director of Oaklands Mansion, aims to enhance visitors’ historic experience at Oaklands Mansion by uncovering more history surrounding its property and connecting with descendants of those who worked there nearly 200 years ago. Through storytelling, education and sharing personal accounts from those who resided there this year he hopes to do this successfully.
