William Kehoe House
Kehoe House guests have reported experiencing various forms of paranormal activity, such as hearing children running down hallways. Others have heard banging sounds coming from toys that they have left lying around and experienced small hands touching them while sleeping in bed.
This historic home is most well-known for the tragic tale of two twin boys who died there while playing hide-and-seek, only for them to become stuck in one of the chimneys and eventually suffocate to death while trying to climb it while playing hide-and-seek. Their mother eventually located their bodies after following an unpleasant scent from within the house itself back to its source.
After leaving their home, after which it served as a mortuary and acquired spirits. Later it was purchased by football star Joe Namath and converted into an exquisite bed-and-breakfast, where guests reported sighting twin boys as well as hearing young voices when no children were present.
Pirate’s House
The Pirate House in Savannah has an unsavory past that dates back to when pirates and sailors would gather here to drink, party and revel. Murders and thefts occurred there too.
Robert Louis Stevenson drew inspiration for Treasure Island from this inn, and even today there are early pages from it hanging on its walls.
Many have reported seeing ghostly figures at the Pirate House. Staff members have heard footsteps and heard a captain’s voice call out from within it; some even believe Blackbeard’s Captain Bonnet still roams Charleston seeking wealth for himself.
One story told by a tour guide at the Pirate House involves one of their tour group who approached it with fear and horror on their face, appearing unable to speak and appearing like they were in a trance-like state.
The Old Candler Hospital
Georgia is well-known for its haunted landmarks, from Civil War battlegrounds to mental institutions and cemeteries that remain haunted – so this state should not be taken lightly!
Old Candler Hospital in Savannah is widely considered one of the most haunted locations in Georgia, having seen numerous tragic events during its two hundred-plus year lifespan, such as outbreaks of Yellow Fever and tuberculosis that caused high casualties at its doors – leaving behind an eerie spirit presence that remains today.
Milledgeville has a troubled past that includes Civil War soldiers and typhoid victims; some of its more eerie landmarks were featured on American Horror Story season two.
