Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal
Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal, an abandoned gateway structure built during Feroz Shah Tughlaq’s rule in Tughlaq times and known for its haunted legends is said to experience paranormal activity at night ranging from unexplainable noises to mysterious shuffling activities.
This royal lodge once served as a base for hunting expeditions led by Tughlaq Dynasty; yet little is known of their past or current state. Unfortunately, not much remains to be learned of their history or remains.
One legend says the Sultan fell in love with a girl from this area and gave her a hunting lodge as a present, then her family converted the palace into an inn; according to legend, her spirit may still haunt it today. Also believed present are an abandoned caretaker and tribal woman’s spirit who lost her way and died, who wander around crying out nighttime; these voices can make people shudder just by hearing their voices!
Jama Masjid
Location: Near Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road in Delhi This fort has long been considered one of the most haunted places in Delhi, due to legend. Legend holds that Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya cursed it so as to protect Tughlaq dynasty Sultans against Mongol invasion; numerous ghost sightings have also been reported here as are spirits from those beheaded here roaming free and faint images seen or heard screamed from within it.
Visitors have been cautioned to remain cautious while exploring this haunted place due to its remoteness, low reception of natural sounds and unique sweet scent. A visit here should only be undertaken if brave enough, for there are plenty of terrifying stories associated with this location that will leave visitors speechless.
Sanjay Van
Sanjay Van is both an oasis and haunted spot, providing visitors with nature-lovers a natural haven by day and terrifying atmosphere by night. People exploring after dark have reported hearing strange laughter or hearing cries; others even claimed feeling an unseen force brush against them while exploring this area after darkness had fallen.
Location: Southern part of Delhi near Vasant Kunj. Featured are Majaars (mausoleums of Sufi saints) and Qila Rai Pithora remants that have broken embankments, providing one of the city’s more haunted landscapes.
Popular tourist attraction Agrasen Ki Baoli is said to be haunted by ghosts. Locals believe that black mystical water has the ability to influence one’s mind and cause them to jump from its steps and end their own lives, with local djinns living here believed to have the ability to grant wishes. Due to these beliefs, several visitors visit each Thursday evening lighting incense sticks as an offering to these ghosts inhabiting this monument.
Bairam Khan’s Tomb
Placed within Delhi Cantonment, this eerie location is known for its haunted nature. There have been reports of screaming and other paranormal occurrences such as temperature changes and crying out in pain in this part of Delhi Cantonment. Some have even claimed they have witnessed ghosts or djinns nearby.
Built during Maharaja Agrasen ki Baoli’s time, this 14th Century structure is one of the city’s most haunted locations. Legend has it that two sons of Bairam Khan were ordered executed here for their treasonous acts and their chopped body parts can still be seen here today!
