1. The Doherty Hotel

Doherty Hotel in Detroit is said to be home to numerous ghostly spirits. One such being is said to be Isaiah Leebove, an entity killed there in 1938 by Purple Gang members; since then his shadowy figure has been reported seen by guests, visitors, and employees alike.
The hotel’s sixth floor is said to be haunted by the ghosts of an unmarried librarian and crew member who fell in love during an ocean shipwreck; her mournful wails can often be heard by visitors and staff members alike.
2. Fort Gratiot Lighthouse
Michigan boasts an abundance of lighthouses – with 129 standing as eerie landmarks alone! While some beacons draw thousands to beaches for their aesthetic beauty, others draw ghosthunters searching for ghostly presences who claim they hear voices calling from inside or hear disturbing reverberations in their walls.
Fort Gratiot Lighthouse stands on Mackinac Strait and has long been believed to be haunted. Reportedly, its first lightkeeper’s wife committed suicide and her ghost can often be seen wandering about its grounds.

3. The Whitney Building
Built for lumber baron David Whitney, this mansion has since been converted into a restaurant. Employees and customers have reported strange noises and sightings throughout the building; psychic medium Kristy Robinett believes its original inhabitants, Flora and former gangster Isaiah Leebove may still haunt it today.

Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is home to a frightening haunted house. According to legend, local witches allegedly committed three murders here and continue to cause mists of blue mist, shrieks of terror, shoulder tapping sounds and footsteps to be heard throughout the area.
Mary Mayo Hall dormitory at MSU has also been known for paranormal activity, with doors opening and closing by themselves as well as ghostly figures being seen within its walls.
